Lawrence of Arabia
The famous feature film took liberties in depicting Lawrence's experiences in Arabia during World War I. Our film tries for the true story.
Although the Lean film does show that Lawrence could speak and read Arabic, could quote the Quran, and was reasonably knowledgeable about the region, it barely mentions his archaeological travels from 1911 to 1914 in Syria and Arabia, and ignores his espionage work: we include this as necessary to understanding his erudition and practical skills. Our film was shot on-location near Aquaba in Jordan, mostly in the desert and on a stranded train set.
(1-hour for Discovery, Global & Canal+, an episode of a series, “Great Adventures of the 20th Century”.)
