Charles William Beebe, part scientist, adventurer, and showman, was the designer of the first deep water bathysphere.

In 1934, he and Otis Barton made a record-setting descent to 3,028 ft (923 m) below the waters off the Bermuda Islands.  Beebe described eerie and extravagant undersea creatures. Initially not believed, Beebe was finally credited with discovery of hundreds of new life forms. Shot off Bermuda, our film combines actuality, reenactment in the actual bathysphere & CGI to bring his heroic adventure to life.
