Remaking the Shroud of Turin

The Shroud of Turin - venerated by millions as the burial cloth of Jesus Christ.  For others, the Shroud is just an intriguing image, perhaps even a forgery. Still a mystery : “real” or man-made?

Are there clues in art, history and ancient technology which we have overlooked?     We set out on a forensic quest to discover not only how and when the real shroud was made, but also by whom and why. At the end of our quest, the words forgery and fake no longer apply. Whoever made it…  whenever… wherever…  wasn’t trying to create controversy. Their goal was to create faith."  (1-hour for US National Geographic, Vision & ITV).
